Activities and Attractions

There are so many activities and attractions within the Kapiti Coast area you’ll need to stay with us at least two nights.

Kapiti Island

Right out in front is one of New Zealand’s most significant nature reserves, located in a marine reserve. The Maori family who live on the island offer visitors genuine Maori hospitality and unique nature experiences. They offer a full day tour including lunch,  morning and afternoon teas. You can stay overnight and go kiwi spotting, or just go for the day and take a guided walk. There are different walk options for different levels of fitness.  The 15 minute ferry ride to the island departs daily around 9am and departs Kapiti Island around 3pm.  Bookings are essential and we are very happy to arrange this for you.
